Bob and Claire Rogers’ tandem bicycle journey in search of Shangri-la. They pedal through Tibetan lands, across the Himalayan Mountains to nearly 16,000 feet, into Yunnan Province, China and on to Southeast Asia. In Laos they become lost, discover a braid of the old Ho Chi Minh Trail, and are rescued by a village unfamiliar with Westerners. They stay lost in the jungle for two days, in an area not yet cleared of American War anti-personnel ordinance.
