After three summers touring 15,000 kilometres around Canada, we decided it was time for something big. Claire liked Australia. Bob wasn’t so sure; too big. How about a year? What!? She wanted to do the whole thing. The WHOLE thing, or as the Aussies say, “Right the way ’round eh?”
We would have to modify our tandem Zippy with a trailer to haul water across the arid continent. What about all those dangerous animals, crocks, cassowaries, snakes and such? There were tons of unknowns.
That settled it! We’re going. Come along mate!
