I always think of you guys when I see food. Jon, what you could do with the stuff we see. The meat hanging over Zippy was naturally curing and we had some in our noodles…yum.

The world is a wonderful place. Americans need to get out and meet the people more. We’d appreciate what we have, share more, and stop the all too prevelant whining. hows that for an opinion!

yes, we did give her more than she could have expected, but not so much to turn them into tourist chasers, it’s a fine line; we are rich beyond belief to them, but we also shared the basics of life….a smile.

Actually, I got worried when there were a few days between posts. Silly me. You’re just climbing 15,000 ft mountains, sleeping on corn husk pillows and eating yak tea.
Seriously, though. I assume you paid the woman for her hospitality (since you are not Buddhist monks). How does that work? Are you worried she might be insulted if offered money, or do you assume this is how they subsist?
